The Forest Sciences Sub Institute of South Viet Nam (FSSIV) focuses on implementing scientific and technological research in the South and Central Coast of Viet Nam with a particular emphasis on research in silviculture, breeding and genetics, biology, the environment and ecology of forests, and socio-economic implications of forest processing.

Liaise with landholders, prepare documents, and conduct field inspections and assessments for forestry activities on private land. Plan, conduct, and report on, field based audit activities to adhere to natural resource management outcomes.

The Assistant Operations Officer implements and coordinates plantation and/or native forest operations with the Forest Products Commission.

Inappropriate fire regimes threaten many native species with extinction. To manage fire for biodiversity protection, we need to understand the ecological responses of native species to fire.

Parks Australia is recruiting for this position at Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay, New South Wales. This position will work as part of a team to manage the training function of the park. A background in education, training and employment will be relevant to this position. The successful candidate will have well developed communication skills, be able to work in a challenging fast paced environment and be part of a dynamic team in a jointly managed national park.
