As the name suggests, this conference deals both with the physical health problems of the mentally ill and the mental health problems of the physically ill. Although these interface areas have received increasing prominence at psychiatric conferences in recent years, and the occasional short workshop, to our knowledge this is the first substantial conference in this country dedicated to the area and we expect it to receive widespread attention.

The conference will include presentations on the evolution of Intellectual Property in hospitals, its importance in improving patient care, plus other vital elements of commercialisation. There are also several presentations outlining case studies from hospitals around Australia.
